Project Light: Visualizing Black & White (Week 1)

"When one sees the tree in leaf, one thinks the beauty of the tree is in it's leaves, and then one sees the bare tree."

Sarah Brana Barak

For the month of February the goal is to visualize images in black and white.  Black and white photography is always classic and timeless regardless of the subject.  However,  images with strong lines, textures, and strong shadows lends itself to be processed in black and white despite living in such a colorful world.  This is the image that I kept returning to for this week's project.  The lonely bare tree on the hill.....representing winter, baring its soul.

Please continue around the circle to see all of the inspirational black and white images beginning with Sarah Roemer Davis from West Harlem.  To visit the project light archive, please visit HERE.
