I have heard it said that “while raising your children, the days are long but the years are short.“

As I've been going through old photos preparing for the upcoming graduation festivities I am reminded of the whirlwind of events that occurred around Emily's birth in 1998.  Eighteen years ago, Daniel was named Whitehouse High School Principal, we placed a contract on a home that we moved and lived in for ten years and I went into labor with Emily, all within a 48-72 hour period.Well eighteen years later, you would think life would have settled down, but instead it seems to only accelerate and at an alarming speed.  This year many big events have surrounded and even landed on Emily's birthday yet she always takes it in stride.Just like the first day we brought her home from the hospital she proved to be the most laid back baby and this continues to be just ONE of the MANY qualities that we love about her.  What joy & happiness she brings to our life! Even though she doesn't have a Facebook account, I want to be the first to wish her a Happy 18th Birthday.  Here are just a few recent photos.
