Family Vacation - North Carolina
Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary is December 19th, 2019. It had been a goal for us to be able to take a family trip together. In Christmas of 2018 we surprised them with lyrics written by our family unit of 6 (Daniel, myself, Barrett, Jessica, Emily & Caleb) sung to the tune of "My Favorite Things". We had so much fun coming up with the funny lines and I honestly should have recorded our many out-takes.Half of the fun of a trip is the planning...or at least I think so. I can spend hours scouring the web, mapping out locations and determining how much we can cram in during our allotted time there. I have included links to some of our locations below, which helped me tremendously during the planning of our trip. Should you decide to visit North Carolina - maybe they can help you too![pp_gallery id="2808" style-id="bffe65d6-135e-47b2-b80a-0fcfac52a7de"]Day #1 - Drive, Drive and drive then Sun Studio, Memphis, TN.Day #2 - Ivy Greens - Helen Keller's birthplace,Muscle Shoals Recording Studio TourWalnut Street Bridge - Chattanooga, TNDay #3 - Waterfall chasing at Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, a quick stop in Brevard for lunch then onto Looking Glass FallsDay #4 - Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, Blue Ridge Mountains - had a picnic at the Craggy Gardens and hiked Craggy Pinnacle.Day #5 - Biltmore Estates, Hanging out at Lake Lure CabinDay #6 - Navitat Ziplining & RTV Tour and finally arrive in Charlotte, North Carolina where my brother lives.Day #7 - Lots of shopping and eating. :)The remainder of days we took our time getting home, making a stop in Little Rock, Arkansas to see our oldest daughter. It was a wonderful trip with many treasured memories.
