Project Light: Holiday Edition (Week 4)

My mother has always enjoyed entertaining guests.  She has a knack of putting together a meal and it comes together perfectly.  My mom has always taken great pride in setting her holiday table using pretty table napkins and pretty festive dishes, so it comes as no surprise once I started hosting Christmas at our home that I would want my table to be pretty just like my mom's.

I can remember helping mom make piecrust as a child and she would show me how to "pinch" the dough to make the decorative crust.  Mine never looked like hers.  Even as an adult, I still haven't quite mastered her technique, but I'm thankful for days like today when we get to share the whole day together laughing and reminiscing while preparing and cooking for our family Christmas meal.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
