Getty Villa Museum
After spending the morning at Point Dume, we headed to Malibu’s gorgeous Getty Villa Museum located on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is a one-of-a-kind destination offering ancient Roman & Greek art with changing exhibits and tranquil manicured gardens. The admission is free but requires a timed entry reservation and a $20 parking fee. This was another one of Caleb’s must-see sights as he is a history buff. You could spend hours reading the plaques to learn more about the stories behind each piece displayed. Due to our time constraints, we were only able to spend the afternoon.
My favorite part had to be the gardens. It was so peaceful to sit on the benches and smell the fragrant flowers and herbs while enjoying the cool breeze while the sun gave us a gentle warm embrace.
