Getty Villa Museum
After spending the morning at Point Dume, we headed to Malibu’s gorgeous Getty Villa Museum located on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is a one-of-a-kind destination offering ancient Roman & Greek art with changing exhibits and tranquil manicured gardens. The admission is free but requires a timed entry reservation and a $20 parking fee.
Point Dume State Beach, California
Caleb’s choice for our first-morning outing was without question Point Dume in Malibu. It is one of Caleb’s favorite places and I can understand why! The clear blue waters, golden sand, and rugged cliffs were breathtaking!
Hot Springs, Arkansas
My youngest daughter was planning a long weekend trip to Arkansas during some of her husband’s time off. After some conversation discussing where to visit in Arkansas, it somehow turned into a whole family affair. We secured a beautiful home on Lake Hamilton through Airbnb large enough for the whole family, including our kids, parents, and brother. Traveling with three small children we planned some low-key events and had a great time just hanging out with the family playing games, and eating well with a few excursions mixed in.
An outside oasis
The temps are scorching in East Texas this summer, but with this beautiful and private oasis you won’t mind! Coming soon to the market in Tyler, TX.

P52 Week 19 - Green
Every spring without fail, I always scout out and purchase Kimberly Queen ferns to put in my front porch urns. I love how their stems stand erect and they gracefully fall over the sides of my urns. I start out faithfully watering them, keeping them lush and green…….then the dog days of summer hit, and by late August they are slowly curling up in a slow agonizing death.
P52 Week 18 - Seasons Part 2
Sunsets are just little glimpses of the golden streets of heaven
P52 Week 17 - Anonymous
We are exploring the concept of anonymity in photography. Faceless photography is compelling as it can add a sense of mystery to the image.
P52 Week 14 - Caption It “Pleased as Punch”
“Pleased as Punch” is the caption that describes the joy of emptying all the eggs after the Easter egg hunt revealing the treasures inside.
Platinum Anniversary
I was honored to have the opportunity to take photos of Mr. & Mrs. Miller’s Platinum Wedding Anniversary and witness their renewal of vows at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tyler. Anniversaries are milestones and it was a celebration of 70 years together, a goal few couples experience. What an example and something we should all strive for!

P52 Week 10 Food
Having an extreme sweet tooth, this is my go-to fix. I make these so often I have the recipe memorized! I’ve even been known just to make them just so I could eat the raw cookie dough. Yeah, I like to live dangerously. I mean really, has anyone actually ever gotten salmonella from eating raw cookie dough, or are people just trying to keep me from living my best life? 😂
Tulip Farm
We did not venture too far this spring break but managed to do a quick weekend getaway trip to do some good eating, antique shopping, and our final stop….the tulips!
White Sands National Park, NM
We visited White Sands National Park in the summer of 2021. This park had been on my bucket list for over 15 years so when we planned our Colorado trip, we tacked this onto the last leg of our trip. To date, it has been one of my favorite places to photograph. It is just so unique and unlike anywhere else I have ever been. The dazzling white sands shimmer like a mirage and are tucked away in the Tularosa Basin in southern New Mexico. They shift and settle over the Chihuahuan Desert, covering 275 square miles.
McFadden Family Session Part 2
Sometimes even with the best planning, a session gets rained out. Visit here to see one of the images we managed to get before the rain cut our session super short. Fast forward a few weeks to the re-scheduled date and everything is budding out making it a beautiful spring backdrop for family photos.
